Terms of Service

Last updated: October 6, 2026

These terms govern your use of Tiffin Plus, a software platform for tiffin and meal-subscription businesses, including the dashboard and the customer ordering portals that businesses publish on tiffinplus.com subdomains.

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you only order meals from a business, the business's own terms (on its portal's /terms page) apply to your order, together with section 5 below.

1. What Tiffin Plus is

Tiffin Plus provides software for businesses to manage customers, meal plans, subscriptions, deliveries, messaging, and payments, and to offer an online ordering portal. Tiffin Plus is a technology provider only. We do not prepare, sell, or deliver food, and we are not a party to the sale between a business and its customers.

2. Accounts

  • You must be an adult with authority to bind the business you sign up for.
  • Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account, including by staff you invite.
  • Owners control which staff roles (for example manager, cook, driver) have access. Remove access promptly when someone leaves.
  • Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Plans and fees

  • Tiffin Plus offers a free plan and paid plans. Features and limits (such as the number of customers) are described on our pricing page and may change.
  • Paid plans are billed through Stripe. You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide for the fees that apply to your plan, plus applicable taxes.
  • We may change prices or plan limits by giving notice in advance. You can change or cancel your plan from your account or by emailing us.
  • You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your own business.

4. Your data and responsibilities

  • You own the information you and your customers put into the service (“your data”). You give us permission to host, process, and transmit it to run the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect your customers' information, for your own privacy notices, and for complying with laws that apply to your business, including food safety, licensing, labelling, consumer protection, and tax rules.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of meal plans, prices, ingredient and allergen information, delivery areas, and schedules you publish.

5. Customer portal and payments

  • Card payments from your customers are processed by Stripe and paid to the Stripe account you connect to Tiffin Plus. Tiffin Plus does not hold your funds. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's terms, including its Connected Account terms.
  • You are responsible for your pricing, refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, and customer disputes, and for taxes charged to your customers.
  • Where a customer chooses an auto-renewing plan, their card is saved with Stripe and charged automatically on each renewal until they cancel. The checkout shows this to the customer, and you are responsible for honouring cancellations and for any additional disclosures the law requires.
  • Customers who order through a portal agree to the business's terms and the Tiffin Plus platform terms shown on that portal. Disputes about an order are between the customer and the business.

6. Messaging

The service can send WhatsApp, SMS, and email messages to your customers and staff on your behalf. You are responsible for the content you send and for having the consent required by law and by the messaging provider's policies. You must stop messaging anyone who asks you to stop.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or use the service to sell or promote illegal, unsafe, or fraudulent products or services;
  • send spam or messages without proper consent;
  • upload malicious code, probe or attack the service, or bypass its limits or security;
  • access other businesses' data or use the service to harass or harm others;
  • resell or copy the service, or use it to build a competing product.

8. Third-party services

The service depends on third parties such as Stripe, Twilio, Resend, Google, Vercel, Supabase, and Inngest (see our Privacy Policy). Their availability, rules, and fees are outside our control, and an outage or change by them may affect the service. Route optimization and map results are estimates and may be inaccurate; check them before relying on them.

9. Intellectual property

Tiffin Plus and its software, branding, and design belong to us. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. You keep ownership of your logo and content and allow us to display them as part of your portal and the service.

10. Platform disclaimer

  • The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
  • Tiffin Plus is not responsible for the food, service, delivery, or conduct of any business or its staff, or for any dispute between a business and its customers or between a business and its staff.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tiffin Plus and its owners and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or CAD $100 if you are on a free plan). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and compensate Tiffin Plus against claims, losses, and costs arising from your data, the food and services you sell, your messages to customers, or your breach of these terms or the law.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and cancel your plan at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, put the service or others at risk, or fail to pay. After termination, ask us if you need a copy of your data, and see our Privacy Policy for how data is retained and deleted.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. If a change is material we will give notice, and continuing to use the service after it takes effect means you accept it.
